Action plans

The Council of Ministers adopted the federal action plan "For an LGBTQI+ Friendly Belgium," led by Secretary of State Sarah Schlitz in collaboration with 9 other government members: Frank Vandenbroucke, Vincent Van Quickenborne, Pierre-Yves Dermagne, Annelies Verlinden, Sophie Wilmès, Meryame Kitir, Petra de Sutter, Georges Gilkinet and Sammy Mahdi.

A total of 133 measures were adopted in various federal policies to strengthen rights for lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender, queer and intersex citizens.

The Equal Opportunities Department is actively working to bring the measures under the action plan to fruition.
